Wow what an awesome privilege to fish with my dad yesterday! I was also lucky to have Dan and Stiaan with.
We started at six in the morning from Swakopmund and drove to Horingbaai north of Hentiesbaai. On arrival at Horingbaai we found more than a hundred vehicles at the spot and decided to find our own place where the water is good for fishing.
The water had a dark color at Mile 108 and we decided to drive along the beach and look for a change in color. Into the Richtersveld we found a hole and fished there most of the day.
My dad caught a 16 KG KabeljouĀ on Pilchard and Octopus leg. His a big man over 6 foot tall but had to play it save as the fish put on quite a good fight.
