We traveled to the lodge on Saturday the 27th and then setup our camp. We went out from the Lodge moving in a northerly direction to look at the color of the water and asses the conditions. We fished the shallow gullies but did not get any decent pickups. We decided to move further north and fished the northern side of Canopy. Still no decent pickups and we moved to Dup’s se Gat. We did not get any bites at this hole and we decided to go the 20 km Cape Cross Lodge board. The water was good and we had immediate bites.
We caught 4 Kabeljou and several Spotted Gully Sharks. We returned to the camp to pickup another angler and then we head back to this hole where we caught 4 more Kabeljou and another Spotted Gully Shark.
The next day we targeted sharks with new rig to see how the braided line and spinning reels performed.
We had a great time.
